I'd be happier if they instead of weight, they ranked they bears by how habituated they were.Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

and yet hunters kill plenty of unfed bears each year. i really dislike that quote. fed, unfed, none of them live forever.its all good -
The point of the quote, as you know, is to point out that feeding bears, and getting them habituated to looking on humans as a food source, is just asking for them to turn into nuisance bears and be euthanased.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here.

i understand the point, ak. most "habituated" bears prey on residential garbage and recreational areas, public campgrounds.
i do agree bears should not be fed.its all good -
This guy was rummaging in the dumpster. I was 25 yrds from him. I heard him, then I yelled in suprise at him. He stepped down, looked at me kinda' like "ah shucks' why you bothering me. He walked off, about 10 feet he stopped and came back to one of his trash cans that he missed 'cause I rushed him out of there. I did notice 2 weeks ago that the dumpster and all the cans are gone from that parking lot.Cheesecake> Ramen -
