Sounds fun Storm. Maybe we can meet up one day. I'll be mainly hiking the BMT this summer so I can accomplish something.[/quote]

starfail sent me an email shes off from 4/29 to 5/12, said she may stalk me in erwin.
ive been singing tennessee jed ever since
Have you set an exact date yet that you are going to start? I am heading down the morning of the 17th and may hang out awhile, all depends on the weather. I'm not very good at post holing. -

Oh, I thought you were doing a thru this year. Not that that isn't a long way to hike. So by doing the BMT you will see some new sites that you didn't pass by last year. Sounds like a good plan.
yeah i really didnt want to bring any expectations to this years hike, as last year was so special, and the bmt offers a very different experience.
im pretty psyched.its all good -

Excellent news for you, her company was one of the highlights of your hike if I remember correctly.
She interested in stopping by the cafe? -

Just Bill, it would help me immensely if you could get your avatar to be looking weirdly off to the right instead of looking weirdly off to the left... that would call my attention to your post instead of the crap next to my computer screen.kick out the jams, bunny rabbit! -

starfail is kinda like my niece or my best friends daughter. our age difference is enough for her to feel comfortable with our being together without her having to worry about romance and all the crap that can mean on the trail.
one of the highlights of last spring was the day she, homebrew, and i slackpacked from iron mtn rd back to erwin over beauty spot, and it was just a beautiful day of pure joy.
she told me after she finished that was still one of her best days, and it was for me and homebrew as well.anyway shes thinking of meeting up with me in tennessee to duplicate that hike.its all good -

As I recall, when she joined we were in a nasty free-4-all of wanton lust cyber freedom, not unlike a Roman orgy......I remember it not being pretty, but being part of it I just posted thru those early times.....she may have lurked and said  Hi folks....bye folks...........whew...I'm out of here!Cheesecake> Ramen -

I think that's why Rasty recently sent out e-mails inviting people back to check out the recent improvements. -

Talk to Rasty- Mountain Mike made me stare at his strobe and then Rasty took that picture.
Although if you look at the strobe and look at the picture I look weirdly to the left, then to the right, then I turn into Hikerboy, then back to me but if you stare too long I come out of the screen and nobody wants that. That strobe needs to be stopped. -

Hey, are we going to keep this thread alive or start a where's Hikerboy after he begins his hike?
I would like to be able to log on and keep track of him from the trail so he doesn't sneak past me.
As long as he carries 11 rolls of TP. -

Why would anyone carry less? -

I want to set the record straight. I've never carried 11 rolls of toilet paper. There's no need to if I can resupply every week... That's just too much!
Have you ever carried 10 rolls of toilet paper?Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Where is Hiker Boy now?

It's a name we can pronounce. Good one.

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
