i bought these gloves last year at neels gap, and they've proven themselves to be a valuable piece of my kit.
in last march's cold i had started out with a pair of ems insulated gloves, but as i hiked they sweated out from the inside and never were able to get them dry, so my fingertips would get cold when i stopped for a rest or in the evening before bed.
the marmot driclime has a micro fleece lining and a wind and water resistant shell, similar to the driclime shirt .i have the ems version of the shirt and its indispensable on spring/summer section hikes in the mountains when a fleece is overkill.
the gloves are very breathable, and even when wet, the micro fleece keeps you warm enough, certainly while you're hiking, but like my trail runners and my rain jkt, they dry so quickly, that i believe they retain more insulating quality than the insulated gloves they replaced( i threw them away).
in cool wet conditions, i think theyre perfect for keeping your hands warm and dry.
