Medical, the kind you go to rehab after an injury. Unfortunately over the past 6 years I have spent more time with them than I wish. But grateful for what they do.

Colonial Pipeline, which supplies 45% of the gasoline for the east coast, was hit by a ransom cyber attack a few days ago.

The Atlanta paper on Sunday said gas prices might go up a bit but there should be no supply issues. Said the same thing today.

Well, I was going to get gas on my way home from Costco an hour ago. My station had -- you know what I'm gonna say -- no gas.

Medical. Graduated from Duke's School of Medicine. It was a 3-year graduate program.

He's doing two AT trips before he reports to his first job. Roan Highlands and Mt. Moosilauke. And since his first assignment is in Wytheville, VA, I see McAfee Knob, Dragon's Tooth and Grayson Highlands in our future this summer.

I was able to get gas yesterday, so only a week unavailable which caused no disruptions in what I wanted to do (news just said gas is available at 50% of gas stations in the Atlanta area).

I learned from the newspaper that gas flows thru the pipeline at 5 mph.

I also learned that our newspaper thinks 5 mph is "walking speed".

We are in North Texas. I was surprised by how some people here were even acting. Lining up for gas......at pumps where Colonial does NOT deliver anywhere to in Texas. yes our prices went up, but shortage? No.....all because people only read the first half of a headline.....

Wow, if I moved as fast as gas in the pipeline I would have finished the AT a long time ago.

Only Exxon's and Valero's in central VA seemed to be out of gas. Richmond has a deep water terminal that oil tankers do pull up in and unload to a big tank farm located between I-95 and the James River. Yet people in Richmond were still panicky. Go figure.

On the news story I saw, the woman claimed that because it all happened so fast and she was so focused on the dogs, she didn't even realize it was a bear until after she started pushing, and by then the encounter was already essentially over.

The Italian artist Salvatore Garau just sold his work "Io Sono" for over $18K. But it seems it doesn't actually exist. According to the artist it finds form in its own nothingness. He goes on to say “The vacuum is nothing more than a space full of energy, and even if we empty it and there is nothing left, according to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, that nothing has a weight. Therefore, it has energy that is condensed and transformed into particles, that is, into us.” The buyer got a certificate of authenticity and instructions on how to "display" it.

In case you are interested, I also have an invisible sculpture. It's quite a bit larger than Io Sono so I keep it in my front yard. You can drive by and not see it anytime you want. It's just to the left of the magnolia tree. If you are interested, it's for sale. I'm only asking $10K (cash only).
