there is a groupon for 41% off at the lodge. the coupon last year i used was better, but if you were thinking about spending a nite here this is probably about as cheap as you're gonna find.

edit to add: i see in addition to the stated room rate they now have a $10 a day "resort fee". i hate hotels that do that.

$328 a night. I wonder if they allow camping on the lawn or sleeping under the dining room tables?

If I was going to spend that kind ofm oney, 328 or 85, it would have to be for multiple nights. And that I cannot afford.

When I spent 4 nights at Cheaha, it was about $82 for all 4 nights at the semi-primitive camp sites. I get a senior discount for Thursday and Sunday nights.

No and no, but they do open their grounds for day hikers......for a fee I believe
That's well above what I'd spend for a night's stay so I have no experience at Mohonk Mountain House
It would have to be a very, very special occasion for me to shell out that much
