Looks like a lot of us are out of the deep freeze and this weekend may offer some decent weather. That being the case: Where is everybody headed for the weekend?

Looks like the cold is coming back just in time for my hike. High of 15 where I'm going. Just can't catch a break.Lost in the right direction. -

If I'm lucky, we might get in the five mile loop at Raven Rock here in the lovely, flat, sandhills of NC. We haven't been anywhere in months and finally got our car in complete working order today.“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T. S. Eliot

It's my favorite go to day hike around here or trail run. It's the only place within an hour drive that offers any terrain change and something other than pine trees and sand. We haven't hit the Cape Fear by boat yet, though we keep talking about it.“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T. S. Eliot -

I was planning on going down to the FHT. I ordered a new pack and it hasn't shown up yet. So my hike is off till my pack comes in.

I want around a 50 to 70 mile loop within three hours drive of central connecticut that isn't stupid snowy the last week of march or the first week of april. i am wondering about the catskills. pennsylvania isn't out of the question. i think i'm going to save the sunnapee monadnock trail for the beginning of june and the northern 70 miles or so of the Long Trail for september.kick out the jams, bunny rabbit!
