Annie is working overtime today but has tomorrow off.
We are doing about 5 to 8 miles tomorrow as our MLK support hike.
However most of ours will be a beach walk.

Laz, Elf, G.G. and Cmoulder from TOS are in for the night at west mountain.Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them. -
Coyote is adorable. My daughter's first camping trip was when she was 5 months old.

Or is IM Scotty taking the picture? And where is (are) LIHikers? The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

I missed getting his face as his Dad brought that big plate up!
So here is why he is 'Coyote'.
All night we kept hearing coyotes down in the valley, many it seemed. It started to rain, a few people showed late and set up in the rain.
Earlier than dawn, we heard outside, behind the shelter, wimpering, almost crying, yelps..........we thought maybe a Coyote would normally come in here when empty. Later, as we were making breakfast, Raptelan and his wife walk around the corner of the shelter and he is carrying the little Coyote in a harness on his chest!!!!!!!!!! That kid was a happy camper all the time!!!Cheesecake> RamenThe post was edited 1 time, last by CoachLou ().

Kathy, me and our hiking dog Tora skipped brunch at the Bear Mountain Inn.
Instead we leisurely broke camp and walked over to the William Brien Shelter on Sunday.
That night the wind was howling and the temps got into what I believe was the low teens plus we had a dusting of snow.
Monday morning was cold and windy too. We hiked back to our car Monday. We got there at 12:30 in the afternoon and the temperature had reached a balmy 24 degrees. I'll type out a better trip report when my fingers thaw out.........in a week or two -
I believe the dog in the photo looks familiar....Sindy Lou....what agreat dog she was.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.
