My peak 1 is still on the shelf at my parent's house, I should see if i can get a servicing kit for it to replace the seals and the take it out as a goof. (Yes some of my original gear was older than me.)Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

I had some of the Coghlan's Waterproof matches, and a box of windproof matches. The later was 90 percent covered by the matchhead. It worked for me in a 15 mile per hour wind.
I also had a down vest. I think it was made by Kelty.
Phoebus 725 white gas stove and a Kelty -20F down bag.--

Met a guy named Tortoise in PA doing a one week section hike. Was wearing humongous external frame pack. Probably at least 50-60 pounds. He had time standing up and getting it on. My thoughts were you need to do some research before you come out here. =OThe road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

i'd rather have that pack, made with todays materials, than the catalyst i now use.
