Most excellent 2 hours of Perseids show last nite in the driveway. I'm sure it countinued, but by 11 I was falling asleep.
Real clear nite here in southern Connecticut, I saw about a dozen. many long and large enough to see the smoke tail illuminated.
It was extra coolCheesecake> Ramen -

Last nite I saw orangeish tails, one or two whites. I have seen blueish and greenish. Once over Mt. Everett, in Mass, I saw a good thick brite one that split in two!Cheesecake> Ramen -
It was too cloudy here last night. .... Last oct we were on our way to Sedona and hit a pull off for pictures. Before we got out of the car and grabbed our cameras we saw one during daylight hours. We got out our camara and took a picture of the smoke trail. We haven't spent the time blowing up each picture to find it. We just thought it was cool to see one during the day.

We weren't sure what we saw either. It went straight then blew up then kept going straight. We heard later that day on the radio that it's was a meteor.
I thought it was a rocket.
When I was a kid living in the desert of California, we saw a rocket at night. We had gotten back from the grocery store around midnight. A lot of grocery shopping happens at night during the summer in the desert. .. Tons of people saw it. Three days later it was told in te news that it was a rocket. They tried to keep it a secret but ended up having to tell the public. .... It was cool to see. We saw two or three stages blow. It was too many years ago to remember how many stages it was. -
