It can be done, but thru hiking is challenging enough without the additional logistics of working remotely. That being said I've heard of people doing just that. Keep in mind the AT is also a social trail, and you'll be camping every night with a number of people. Do you really want to be working while others are socializing? If possible, maybe plan a 3-4 week section hike and see how that goes first before you commit to 5 or 6 months.

The Mid Atlantic Ruck was a lot of fun. We had around 25 people who were appreciative of the amount of one on one time we spent with each, going over their gear, giving advice. Working on the ALDHA board has been very satisfying, and I'll most likely look to serve another term when mine expires in October.

Great game. One of those games that had to have a winner and a a loser. 49ers played their hearts out, but finally ran out of gas.

Did an 11 mile hike in Harriman SP yesterday. 15 minutes in I ran into an AT thru hiker ,Class of 2014. We'd never met, but we sat and BS'd for a half hour or so. Yesterday I hiked in a park I'd never heard of. I'd seen it mentioned in a FB group so I decided to check it out, and I'm glad I did. It's called Trail View State Park. Turns out it's got some fun trails, not too challenging, and a lot of possible loop variations. It does share some of the trails with mountain bikes, but yesterday I was mostly alone, no hikers and one mountain biker. I'll go back again. The Appalachian Trail is one of the most hiked trails in the world. I was always a solo hiker for many years, and tended to avoid crowds and people in general. One of the benefits of section hiking is the ability to pick your spots at different times of year to avoid the bubble.
