She rounded in her video. There is a copy of the bill on her GoFundMe page. It was actually "only" $59,973. Maybe a $50,000 policy doesn't cut it any more because of inflation. Facing an unexpected $10,000 balance due after insurance due immediately would be a stretch for many.

She set up a GoFundME page for medical expenses. She said she got more $ than she asked for, but it worked out as her expenses were more than she estimated. So being curious... She asked for $12,000 and got $15,743. She had started a health insurance policy that became effective 4 days after the the resucue so no help there, The policy from Garmin covered $50,000. She increased that to $100,000 in case she ever needs it again. Assuming the policy from Garmin comes thru she should end up pretty c…

Quote from IMScotty: “I don't know if any of you follow Dixie, but she had to call SAR. youtube.com/watch?v=WuCMCNFH36I ” A "follow-up" video appeared on my feed. Life Flight billed her $60,000 for the SAR. She has filed a claim with Garmin and expects that they will eventually pay for most of it

PostWow! The talking heads were guesstimating $500 million BEFORE he hurt his arm. Baseball needs a salary cap AND a salary floor. Never gonna happen though. $700 million is almost double what the Braves stole from the Cobb County taxpayers.

PostQuote from max.patch: “Michigan should have been banned from the CFP for cheating. If there are no consquences for cheating then cheating is allowable. The committee needed to grow a pair and make the right decision. As long as I'm on this topic, given that Michigan was given a pass and is in the CFP, the committee made the correct decision between Alabama and FSU. ” <snip> "Florida Gov. Mt Leconte Lodge in the GSMNP this morning; 19 degrees and 6 inches of that nasty stuff. This on one of non-AT trails in the park. I've stayed here 3 or 4 times with friends in the past. (The lodge is closed for the winter until March 25; only the caretaker is there.) highonleconte.com/uploads/3/8/3/9/3839600/p113.png

PostThere are 5 P5 Conferences. There are 4 spots in the CFP. Every year (at least) 1 team that won their conference and didn't make the CPF will feel the committee made a mistake. Should FSU have been the team left out this year? This is easy. NO!!! Michigan should have been banned from the CFP for cheating. If there are no consquences for cheating then cheating is allowable. The committee needed to grow a pair and make the right decision. As long as I'm on this topic, given that Michigan was given…

lol, there's 2 comments on his video. One simply says "Karen". I have a BA tent and the first time I set it up there was something about the guy lines that I didn't totally understand (it's been way too long to remember the details). I I sent an email to BA with my question and I got a reply an hour later. Problem solved. I would agree with the premise of his complaint that all gear should have instructions on how to properly use the item. I have no idea if the current BA instructions are adequa…
