    I'd like to add that Baxter State Park is an anomaly these days. They have a set of rules and actually ENFORCE the rules. I'd recommend a visit to baxterstatepark.org/ to plan your visit.

    I hiked LBJ National Grasslands. It got up to 80 when they had said 75. And very sunny so out on the grasslands and not in the forest, got hot after lunch. I went thru almost 2 liters of water in my pack, plus a DP and 1 water at lunch. 4 bottles of…
