    I find it more convenient to hike to our car. That way there's no waiting around, or rushing around, at the end of a hike.

    The folks that used to run the hostel in Millinocket, Maine had a VW bus that had been owned by Earl Schafer at one time. I wonder what they did with that one.

    My suggestion would be to do Damascus, VA to Massie Gap/Grayson Highlands State Park. It's about 32 miles. Then contact Lone Wolf for a shuttle. You could either park in Damascus, hike to Grayson Highlands then get a shuttle back or park at Grayson…
