While driving to work about a week ago I heard that
Saudi Arabia bestowed citizenship on Alexa.
I have no idea if it's true or not and won't bother to google it -

Finishing my 7th (or 8th ?) dozen of tamales and still have enough dough for another dozen. This has been a three day event.
The black bean tamales didn’t work the way I planned. The black bean filling was too soft and when steaming, the filling erupted out the end. So I mixed the black bean spread with the dough and wrapped them up. They turned out great and are very fast to roll...no spreading the dough perfectly, adding the filling, and rolling it up. Instead, just grab a handful, throw it on, and roll.Lost in the right direction. -

I got 5 different hot sauces from 2 different people for xmas, ya think they know me? the one I’ve been liking for a couple years now is the
“Pucker butt” line, a SC company of a fella who patented a his hybrid “Carolina reaper” pepper, good stuff that will put hair on your knuckles. I suppose this would make a good red eye drink...just to keep on track. -

Did you see that the defending champ on Jeopardy tonight has been a volunteer trail builder on the AT in Bear Mountain State Park for the last two years. He said there is a 12 year project to install granite steps he works on. Unfortunately he lost.

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them. -

I read a little bit of Warren Doyle’s stuff today. (I did not sew ALL day). We talk about thru-hiking as a vacation but what he says makes sense...about it being a job and an education.
I really like his Thirteen Statements of Wisdom.

my take, if ya wanna spend your life walking all the time in the woods, go for it, me, I got other things I’d rather be doing. Pretty simple really. I really don’t get why folks put so much pressure on themselves...it’s just walking, when you’re done, be done, come back later, no big deal.
