Preparation stage - accumulating gear!

I'm pretty psyched! My gear is adding up, slowly but surely!
So far I have:
Thermarest 3/4 sleeping pad
Thermarest sitting pad
Water purifer
Deuter pack
REI sleeping bag liner
Merell Moab hiking shoes
Black Diamond Revolt Headlamp
A first aid kit
Two pairs of Merino wool socks

Still need a stove, sleeping bag, and tent plus trekking poles, clothes n random s***. Waiting until after Xmas to buy more.

I've got three entries already in my online trail journal. June cannot arrive soon enough!

Use a piece of string, and lay 2 fingers on top of ur wrist, so its large enough to go over a shirt, but not large enough to fall off...

Well, it's kinda boring so far, but I figure the preparation stage is as important as the journey itself to document for my own memory.

Free. It's a cat can stove. Weighs about 4 grams maybe. Burns Yellow Heet gasoline antifreeze or other alcohol. This stove works well with wide bottom pots such as the kmart grease pot or titan kettle. Boils 2 cups water in about 6 minutes with 1 oz of alcohol.

You need a windscreen too, but they're easy to make. The instructions are somewhere in the alcohol stove thread.

I can't imagine it being more than a couple a bucks. I can afford that. I have given away a lot of stuff here and over at that other place, I like giving away stuff once in a while. I also made you a windscreen as I have plenty of flashing left from the roll I bought to make mine and it fits nicely in the little box I found. You will likely have to cut the windscreen down to match your pot or even make another, but at least you will know what it should look like.
