might consider it for the jmt or somewhere dry. i do not care for the front entry. i have an old ems pack with a front entry, and it was a pita to pack, plus you cant really use a pack liner or compactor bag to keep bag and clothes dry.its all good -
I just do not like zipper on packs- just something to break when you are miles from nowhere. Also i like a mesh front pocket. To each his own."Dazed and Confused"

I do not care for the bottom entry. I have a 2011 REI pack with a bottom entry. If I don't keep it tightly closed, all my crap falls out on the trail.
