i had been using a marmot precip for years and really liked it to keep me dry without sweating.
several years ago, i bought the marmot mica, and its been an essential piece of my clothing system ever since.at only 7 oz.,its always in my pack ,even on dayhikes.
like most rain jackets ive owned, eventually it will wet out, but it is the most breathable rain shell ive worn yet, and dries within minutes from body heat alone. ive worn it over and under my micropuff depending on whether i needed rain protection or an extra layer of insulation,it has high armholes to allow me to layer it comfortably underneath my insulation when needed. it doubles as a wind shell, worn over a t shirt for hiking on cool windy days.although it does not have pit zips, ive worn it comfortably , hiking with 25 lbs in summer t storms.
i love this jacket
