How To Wash Your Hands In The Woods

I stay cleaner than the vast majority of hikers, but this riderunner in this ATC video puts me to shame. I admit that I have never walked 200 feet off trail and then dug a sump hole with my trowel just to wash my hands.

That seems a bit extreme. I have an Antigravity Gear silnylon water bag (1 gal, 0.8 oz) that would do the same with no digging. Another trick I have heard of is to make an ultralight Backcountry sink by cutting the bottom off a 1 gal plastic milk jug.

I wash my hands ......with a drop of soap, and a few oz of water...from my bottle. Wet, lather, rinse sparingly
