Have you heard of Gold Bond Friction Defense ?

I was digging through storage boxds and found a roll up of Gold Bond Defense Friction Defense. Its Gold Bond anti-chafe in a roll up like an underarm deoderant.

I like the idea as it would be easier to apply and I don't want to put my fingers anywhere near my chafing areas as they smell. Don't want that smell on my hands. Makes it hard to sleep.

Have you tried this item ?

No.

However there are several products designed for bicyclists wishing to reduce chafing. A locally produced one is called Nutz. Two guesses as to where it is applied.

Also Body Glide and zinc oxide can be applied to the nether regions down under to prevent/heal chafing.

I haven't had any chaffing problems since I switched to wearing boxer briefs.
I like that option better than using Body Glide or other similar products.
I'm partial to the Terramar brand as they are comfortable, last a long time, and cheap.
That makes them a good value, in my book.

JimBlue, as to your comment about using your fingers to apply anti-chafing products, if using a dispenser, be careful using it on other body parts. I use Body Glide in a deodorant-type applicator and its dedicated to only certain body parts. If I were to need it on my ass, I'd use my fingers then wash my hands.

I have only had to use anti-chafe on one spot, on my leg near my torso. I do wash my hands. I noticed when I eat certain foods I don't have the problem... so it could be a dietary deficincy rather than a chafing situation.

I've used Vaseline - doubles as a firestarter. Some people swear by Bag Balm, available at farm stores.

Here's something else to consider.
The only time I've had a really, really bad case of chaffing was after doing laundry and using a detergent.
At home we do laundry with some kind of soap made for the purpose. I don't know what the difference between soap and detergent is but I'm pretty well convinced it caused the problem.

I can't wear underarm products, gives me fits for days after. I believe they have aluminum powder in em and that closes the pores, so perhaps an allergic reaction.

ah got cha, I've used body glide...stuff is slick as goose snot when it warms.

You should try coating your cotton balls with Vaseline.

Some people react to the baking soda in natural deodorant so use with caution. They sell one that without baking soda but I've heard it isn't as effective.

Talc too, apparently a lot of women have got ovarian cancers from products like "shower to shower" big class action suite goin on.

Talc and asbestos are in the same rock formations. Sometimes mixed together, sometimes not. That is where the cancer comes from.
