I looked through the entire Coffee Talk forum looking for the thread on dogs that I thought existed. I remember some time ago we were all posting pics of our dogs or our children's dogs or dogs that were special to us. Since I didn't find one, I thought I would start one where we could talk about our special four-legged friends.
The special dog in my life is my daughter's and she resides in Chicago. I'm in metropolitan Detroit so I don't get to see her that often. As I've said before, she's the cutie in my avatar. Normally she only wears her Spartan jersey when Michigan State is playing a game; however, she is now going to be wearing it constantly for a while. It will be 2 yrs in May since the kids got Dakota at the BREWfest in Chicago. BeagleRescueEducation&Welfare. They don't know exactly how old she is but based on what 2 different vets told them, she's about 10-12 yrs old. Yesterday, my son-in-law took her to the vet to have her teeth cleaned which, they said from the looks of it, had never been done. The vet thought there was a possibility that he might have to extract a rotten tooth. Anyway, they put her under anesthesia. Since they did, they also took the opportunity to remove about 4 or 5 of those fatty bumps (tumors?). The vet put a cone on her so she didn't scratch the stitches but that just doesn't work with a beagle who always has to have her nose to the ground. So, the vet said if they kept a shirt on her, that would work. So, for the time being, Dakota will be sporting the Green & White.[IMG:C:\Users\user\Pictures\Dakota\9 4 15 Spartan Dakota.JPG] Dakota says "Go GREEN!"
