Okay.....here is my 90/10 theory on Red heads
90% of Red headed women look like cabbage patch kids,
the remaining 10% are the most beautiful creatures on the planet.

What's the deal with Miss Janet? I thought she was a shuttler near Damascus but I've seen a few FB posts that sound like she's slackpacking a group to Katahdin.
She sounds like she has a big heart. I wonder if she ever hikes. It's sort of strange to me that there are people who love trail life but don't hike.Lost in the right direction. -

I've also always been a little puzzled by people who have dreams of hiking the AT but have never hiked. I'm not criticizing, I guess it's the age old question, which came first the chicken or the egg? For me, I fell in love with hiking before becoming part of a "hiking community". Even then, my hiking community is only online.Lost in the right direction. -

I met her just a few hours north of Fort Montgomery/Bear Mountain this summer(8/11). I think she just really enjoys being a trail angel. I believe she is the same Miss Janet who used run a hostel in Erwin, TN.
as chief said, she had a kickstarter campaign which netted her 5k to write a book to be titled "tales from the boot garden" that has never been written. for some reason the "trail community" whatever that is has given her a pass on this.
