Short walk, I'm guessing no more than 400 feet of vertical to a fine view over Squam Lake. Extremely well-traveled trail. Not a "solitary" hike by any stretch. A few dozen students from Plymouth State University arrived by bus. Dozens of others. Maybe 45 minutes of leisurely hiking each way, a half hour gawking over the view with the other tourons. We were hanging out at a beach house on Little Squam Lake for the weekend.
