Polls say that Phil stands on principal and A&E are confused idiots that think that the only thing that matters in life is money.

This year, one county away from me, there was a local election decided by a single vote. And there were two ballots disqualified because they had stray markings (the voters had written comments across the ballot initiatives rather than voting them). Both of the disqualified ballots had votes for the losing candidate. The count could most likely have been overturned in court, but the loser decided that it would be better for her to be gracious instead. The winner as also gracious: he made a speech about moderating his platform in fhe face of what was obviously not a clear mandate. We'll see what happens once he's in office.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here. -

I wouldn't mind it too much for the politicians to try to buy my vote. What irks me is that they try to buy it with my money.I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here. -

Even worse. They took a loan out and sent you the bill with interest.Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

I know a guy who once lost a school election by one vote. He and his girlfriend were so busy trying to get the vote out, that did not get around to voting themselves. That one has got to hurt. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.
