So any bets on the "punishment" now that the "investigation" is complete?

A fine, most likely a substantial sum. I predict no suspension for Brady.
However most baseball pitchers can detect a defect on a baseball almost at the microscopic level, so I'm not convinced Brady could not feel an air pressure change in the game balls. Therefore either he's incredibly adaptive to the differences between footballs or he perceived an advantage for either him or most likely his receivers.

They could have stopped the game at any time, swapped the balls - etc. And keep in mind the other team gets the ball on a turnover.. much to do about nothing. Have they fired the ball boy yet for taking a pee? .. Oh and Keith?
The former MSNBC host responded to Twitter on Wednesday explaining why he will not watch the network:
Olbermann parted ways with MSNBC in 2011 after the unexpected cancellation of his show. He has since said that he stopped watching MSNBC in 2009, meaning that he was not watching his own network for more than a year while he was still working there.
Still, comparing your old network to the scene of a drunk driving car crash is pretty harsh.Be wise enough to walk away from the nonsense around you! -

I figured that the league supplied and managed the balls, like in baseball. The ump can call to see the ball and toss it, the catcher, or the pitcher can look at the ball and ask for it to be changed. The balls are supplied in baseball by the home team, but can be changed out (seems like they use a new one every few pitches!). I'd not be surprised if the NFL takes ownership of "ball management". But then, the crafty one's will still find a way (queue the story from NASCAR, Goodyear supplies tires, NASCAR sets the upper and lower PSI limits....crafty boogiers still found some way to put in microscopic holes to leak out air.....). NASCAR officials never saw anyone NEAR those tires....nope....just those tiny holes.....
Anyway, NFL....I watch about 2 games a year, sort of.Pirating – Corporate Takeover without the paperwork -

but realistically brady will get 1 game max and maybe a fine. team will get fined.
To paraphrase Kimmel: Well boys and girls if you cheat you'll win the Super bowl and become the MVP of the NFL.
I cannot help yet again feeling bad for Pete Rose. -
Pete has a good sense of humor. Funny, we were watching a 50's Angie Dickinson movie and she was busting the guys for gambling and now you can gamble online and with Native Americans.

When it comes to politics he is a pathetic idiot, but Olbermann is extremely funny when it comes to sports. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

Another issue is the whole "integrity of the league" thing (if there is such a thing in the NFL). Several other players have been given many suspended games, if not whole seasons, after recreational drug issues, outside of play violence and other issues not connected to the fictional "integrity of the league". If Gooduh glosses over a rich extremely WHITE player, will he get away with it?

probably should be 4 games for brady and a stiff fine for the team.

whole ado about nothing.
and i'm a jets fan.
the league needs to control the game balls, not the teams.they left the door wide open for tampering
its the only sport around where the teams dont use the same ball.
underinflated footballs is not why teams win or lose.
they now need to check the psi before long field goals. i can see a slightly overinflated ball having a definite advantageits all good -

I feel for the Patriot fans. They got to celebrate and feel good after the win just like fans are supposed to be able to and now they have to live with all the ridicule and jokes that will be made forever all because of a handful of greedy people that were trying to get an edge and win even if it meant cheating. The fans are the ones that lose here. They lose face which is more valuable that any dollar amount. Sucks for them and shame on all the others involved.Changes Daily→ ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫ ♪♫♪♫♪♫ ← Don't blame me. It's That Lonesome Guitar.

I'm not a Patriots fan, and I think Brady is a candyass as well as overrated (If you're a Pats fan, shove i up your ass if you're going to ask me to defend it: I don't give two sh--its what you think), but this is just ridiculous. No bloody way did a bit of air pressure cause the lopsided victory in that game. The Colts barely even showed up.
That said, a $1 million fine for a team is a joke. IF you're going to punish a team, hammer that ass. $1 million? Pffffffffft. The draft picks might have some impact, but...Do your duty in all things. You cannot do more, you should never wish to do less. - Robert E. Lee -

doesn't matter if the cheating worked or was even necessary. the act of cheating needed to be addressed and i think 4 games was the perfect solution.

I was hoping for the punishment asked for by the great Wall Street Journal writer Jason Gay:
1) Brady has to play every road game with a pair of big, furry, UGG boots on.
2) He has to wear a magicians hat for all post game conferences for the rest of his life.
3) He (or Belichick, it does not matter) have to go on a 3 week kayak trip this summer with Rex Ryan. Tattoo is optional.
4) Brady must eat a whole pizza during every single Deflatriot defensive stand.
5) During each Deflatriot/Jet game Brady must play every other quarter for the Jets. This is only fair because the Jets entire offensive team always plays for the Deflatriots every other 1/4 in the past.
6) The Deflatriots must switch back to their old "Pat the Patriot" uniforms.
7) Belichick must sing a Taylor Swift song after the national anthem for the rest of his life.
I believe even Deflatriot Fans would approve of this because even though they are inbred they still have a sense of humor. -

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (The Borowitz Report) – In what football insiders are calling an unexpectedly severe punishment, the National Football League has sentenced the New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady to a year with the New York Jets for his role in the so-called Deflategate scandal.
The punishment drew howls of protest from Patriots fans and management, with many calling it the harshest in league history, but N.F.L. Commissioner Roger Goodell defended the decision as “a necessary deterrent.”
“We need to send the message that this league has zero tolerance for cheating,” Goodell said. “We believe that a year of playing quarterback for the Jets sends that message loud and clear.”
Brady was reportedly in a state of shock when he heard the news of his punishment. He later met with reporters in a hastily called press conference during which he frequently seemed on the verge of tears.
“I am going to fight this decision with every fibre of my being,” Brady said. “This is America. You can’t force a person to play for the Jets.”
At a sports bar in Manhattan, the reaction to the impending arrival of the Jets’ longtime nemesis was muted. One Jets fan observed, “Look, Brady’s a dick, but even he didn’t deserve this.”its all good
