If it's forecast cold enough to do that, I'm not going!
A man gets a similar effect relieving himself in a -50F or lower wind chill. Clouds of yellow snow downwind. Don't ask me how I know.

It seemed like a better idea than getting baselayer and midlayer wet! Of course, even finding it in that kind of cold is a challenge to begin with.

Well, it's still unfrozen and attached. I think it takes longer to freeze, even in those conditions, than the amout of time it takes to attend to business.

I just made reservations for Monday night at the inn for me and my wife... Might even be some spa involved. Pretty classy end to a cold hike, I would say!

right now, it looks pretty questionable for me.one of my sales people was hit by a car the other day, and will be out for a while, so we're shorthanded at work.. (he's gonna be okay, but he has a cracked vertabrae, broken kneecap, broken ankle, and a fractured bone in his neck.)

I'm still planning a hike on 18th and 19th to "be there in spirit" and to compare experiences post hike.
Frozen appendages not expected to be an issue for me.

I'll be there Friday to Monday as long as I can get back to my car. Are we shuttling? Should I call George L. for a shuttle? I'll go if snow is forecast but not heavy rain. BTW this tapatalk is pretty cool:)

Anyone ever catch the bus at Bear Mountain?
I am thinking of doing that this summer to get to Amtrak to go home in August. Curious if the Coach USA station is near the zoo, or where exactly it is.

Once we figure out how many cars we have available, we'll work out how to distribute them across the park (my thinking: Tiorati, Anthony Wayne, maybe Silvermine) so that we have very short bailouts available or so that we can shuttle anyone who wants to come for only part of the trip. There will surely be no problem with getting people back to their cars, even if the shuttling might get complicated.
