Trying futilely to determine how many people might be there, just for fun. Will it fizzle, or go off with a bang? Who knows?
Yes, jimmyjam, we will be expecting you. When you get close, we can txt up so we can meet up.

I think there will be at about two dozen flippers at the kickoff. Whether it's a fizzle or a big bang I am going to have a blast.

Congratulations. That is a good reason to celebrate.

The numbers are up! Registration currently shows 42 attending the FFKO. And that's just the ones who've registered with the ATC. This is going to be fun!

Some of us have already been discussing the options. We could easy the weight on the shelters by slack-packing (or not), with a shuttle back to HF for the first night, then back to the trail on Monday. I kinda like that option.
I could wait and leave the next day (May 4th), but the option above allows for getting the hiking day in and return to the trail fresh and fed.
