I had one when I got out of college. My parents wanted me to carry one and since they were still paying for my health insurance, I carried it for their peace of mind. Now I don't. I deactivated mine because I wasn't using $128 worth of service a year. Let's face it, if you're hiking on the east coast, there's no need. There are roads everywhere. I feel confident with my map and compass method. I can usually find a place to send out a text if I'm carrying a phone.

  • I've been seeing pouched chicken at Walmart and food city in east tn. It's a 7oz pack so be hungry if you're going to add it to something. It's usually hidden on the top shelf. I don't remember the brand but I'll grab one at the store next time and see if they're any good.

So, will I need a park stamp or will my regular year license do? Just for clarification. I would hate to lose my gear, my car, and anything else the TWRA wants to take from me.

I'm a band director. I get them in 5th grade and teach them till they graduate. 8 years is a long time to teach a kid but it's pretty cool watching them go from bright-eyed, to turd, and then to a respectable young adult.

I think we all do it separately. You reserve sites online now. Or you would end up paying for everyone's permits.

I also …

Quote from goody: “You stated in your original post that only 3 people went? 13 fish in one day for 3 people is over-harvesting and the only instance(s) that it isn't is if you are in dire need of food because of financial hardship or starvation. If thats not true-thats cool.” Over harvesting? I could see that if they were past a creel limit, but it wasn't. Stocked fish are just like cows and turkeys. Raised as food. Do you have anything in your freezer or extra food in your pantry? Perhaps by y…

Quote from WiseOldOwl: “i carry most of my spices in eye drop bottles and in some little vials i bought from Lawson Equipment.” IF that works for you that's great - I still like the straw and paperclip method.[/quote] I hadn't heard of that one. I kinda like it... Simple, affordable and replaceable for nothing. Edit: Just went and tried a straw. Burn one end close, air tight. Amazing. Then you could use a paperclip or for multiple straws, A binder clip. I think I found my method.
