I've upgraded to a Jackson Cuda 14. After borrowing foresights Cuda 12 for a week I was hooked. Tons of room in the haul for all my gear and some of my wife's. And I love the framed seat. Very comfortable. My wife went with a Jackson Tripper 12. She want more of a sit in style with a big cockpit.

I should probably mention the Ned rig too. Especially this time of year. Just google search Ned rig. I love the Zman products. Works great here in Tn and their saltwater baits work great at the beach.

On my way to the lake or river I'm always looking to see if the cows are eating or laying down. I look for birds too. If they're active the fishing is usually pretty good. That's when I start with a Whopper Popper. This top water lure should be mandatory for your tackle box. Cherokee and Douglas lake is a good place to throw it. It looks like your lake is a good spot for it too. Another must have lure is the Rebel crawdad. As mentioned earlier by someone. It catches all kinds of fish. I fished a…

When I was in Jr highschool we lived in El Centro, Ca. It's located about 10 miles north of Mexico out in the middle of the desert. We'd feel small earthquakes all the time. Other times you'd come home and notice the pictures hanging on the wall were all slanted. We'd also go camping a lot at Anza Borago. Sitting around the fire at night was a cool time to feel one. My favorite one was sleeping on a cot under the stars at Joshua Tree. On that trip my dad was driving the motor home and looking fo…

I know two people riding Ragbra this year. If unfamiliar with Ragbra, it's a ride across Iowa. I couldn't imagine trying to do it this time of year. So much heat and so many strong storms in the heartland.

I wish I could post the video. You fill the container. You then push the filter down. The water is now filtered. You can unscrew and fill other containers with clean water or just keep it in the container you filtered the water in. I've been using a Sawyer squeeze the last couple of years. This Grayl looks so much easier to use fill it up and set it on a hard surface. Put the filter on top and let your weight and gravity filter it. With this there is no more pumping or squeezing.

  • I love the 4 corners area. I lived in Holbrook for 4 years.........

  • That's one of my favorite places to hike. Thanks for sharing. I usually get there on a fri evening, so I stay on roan high. Night two is spent at Bradley Gap or doll flats. .. The last couple of years they have done some good work on the downhill to 19e. It's not as much of a toe pounder as it used to be.
