Like (Post)The origin of this term is from the railroad. Since trains can't make a u-turn like cars or people, they would stop, throw a switch, and back up a different track going up. The keep repeating until the get to the top. -

Like (Post)Kathy and I finally made it to Front Royal,VA. Some businesses have made a Hiker's base camp, a place for free showers and laundry. Of course they kn ow you'll spend money while waiting for your turn at shower and laundry. Turns out we'll be in town… -

Like (Post)96 days until Baxter State Park. The weather around here has stabilized a little more. The low 50s at night is a little strange but I will take it. I did a 5 mile loop today with an elevation deviation of 463 feet. Be well folks, Sonder -
