I was on a C130 observing cargo air drops when the aircraft was heavily jostled with what I thought was turbulence. The copilot announced termination and declared an emergency. It seems the plane had encountered a tree and lost #3 engine. Upon landing and shutdown, the flight engineer extracted a small branch from the intake. However an enterprising crewchief also managed to find a feather from a turkey vulture.
The final accident report listed a bird strike as the cause, with no mention the bird was perched in a tree when encountered.

We had 74 trick or treaters. The husband bought the candy bars and took an inventory before the trick or treaters started coming. We had 112 candy bars; I ate 5 before anyone came so right now, assuming he didn't eat any, we have 33 bars left. I favor the snickers but he also bought milky way, butterfingers and twix.

One of my skiing buddies reported cars bearing ToTs from outside his neighborhood lined the street. As he lives in a slightly more affluent locale, I assume their treats are more generous. I had 11 groups of ToTs this pm, which was a pain as it meant I missed most of the scoring in Game 6.
