Alright! What does any of this got to do with sunglasses or grams or weenies or old people?
The common thread is too much free time, and days getting cold and short. Nothin left to do but smile smile smile. -

I hope the house is covered in lead-free paint.
Agreed. Lead is way too heavy. Finally! We are back on topic.
One time when my dad (a General Contractor) was building a Doctor's office with an X-Ray room I got to mess around with the lead. Was like 40 years ago but I remember it being neat, sort of like a flexible metal. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

I walked five miles at work today.Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

I once caught a game between the Maine Black Bears and William & Mary in Williamsburg Virginia. Maine was thrashing W&M. We were on the W&M side of the field. All at once my mouth got ahead of my brain. I screamed, "I see a lot of Mary out there, but where is William?" I thought my buddy with me at the game was going to kill me. It is interesting being me at times.Non hikers are about a psi shy of a legal ball.

I probably carry sunglasses more in winter than summer. Use them to keep the cold wind out of my eyes.
Unfortunately I have my prescription glasses for that. The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

Well, I'm an old person, and I was doing actual hiking less than a week ago, and I wear sunglasses - prescription ones. I haven't weighed or measured them, other than making sure they fit my head. When I got my ordinary glasses, I brought my goggles into the store to make sure my glasses would fit under them. Being an old person, I need a bifocal in even my sunglasses if I'm going to read a map while wearing them. Said bifocal was paid for by private health insurance. If I were truly a gram weenie, I suppose I'd have to pay for the prescription lens inserts for my goggles. I'm sure my insurance would not go for that, so I'd wind up paying out of pocket. That's a lot of money for very few grams saved. The glasses aren't all that heavy, in any case. The lenses are polycarbonate, not leaded glass, and the frames are titanium.
Have i managed to unite the wanderings here?
I'm not lost. I know where I am. I'm right here. -
I wore glasses when I did Springer to Hampton, rained a lot, glasses were continually fogged, missed a lot of sites because I couldn't see, decided then to have the eye surgery and be done with it, still need reading glasses but distance vision is better than ever...wish I'd done it sooner.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

the big 50 for aarp
Just got an email for AARP hyping about 9 in-flight freebies to get next time you fly. One of them was advice from the flight attendant on where to eat and what to do in the city that you're going to. I thought - damn I'm glad conversation is still free.Changes Daily→ ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫ ♪♫♪♫♪♫ ← Don't blame me. It's That Lonesome Guitar.
