This image from the US National Weather Service Alaska dated 16 Feb pretty much sums up the majority of the winter in Anchorage so far. The official start of the Iditarod got moved 300 miles north from Willow to Fairbanks this year due to the low and melting snow levels. Looks like it's either going to be a very early breakup or there's going to be two this year. What a weird welcome to Alaska winters.
stop bragging!
Well, where would the fun be in that?
It rained all day today. The temp was like 35 but the ground is frozen. Accidents everywhere and for some reason the moose decided that today was the BEST day to stand in the road.
Moose are jerks
That is no lie. They like to slowly meander across the road and then bolt as soon as their feet touch the grass/snow on the other side.
