I've been looking for this. My LLS is sold out of the small, airplane-sized bottles. It must be good.Drybones wrote:
Anyone here tried Four Roses bourbon? I recommend it, made a run to Total Wine & Spirits the other day, was looking for something new to try, couple of guys recommended it....would like to hear a professional review by TJ.
Maybe it's time for a run to Total Wine.
Would make for a good New Years drink just before midnight.TrafficJam wrote:

Tried a new bourbon tonight...Two Stars...very smooth, maybe too, goes down a little too easy...great "ladies whisky"...went back for a second glass....so anything I read here that's stupid will be viewed as funny and entertaining.
Would like a review from out resident pro whisky reviewer....what about it TJ.

These folks tend towards accuracy...at least in my book. They give CC a B+.
Checking the Utah ABc inventory...CC is not carried.
Next time a neighbor travels outside Utah, he's going to check for me.

According to long term Utah residents, the ABC board banned the sale of miniatures in response to fears of easy access would lead to increased alcohol consumption. Of course now if one wishes to sample a different product, she has to purchase a 750 ml bottle containing multiple servings.TrafficJam wrote:
It was just chance that I tried it. It was standing all alone in the airplane bottle section so I said to myself, "Either it's so good, it's the only one left or it's so bad, they can't sell the last one." Decided to take a chance and it was really good.Dan76 wrote:

All of my taste tests are airplane-bottle size (100ml).

A month or so ago my neighbor gave me a bottle of bourbon. He said the vendor gave it to him but he didn't like it. It's called Van Winkle. I never heard of it so I looked it up. Turns out it's priced at 800 bucks a bottle!! Jackpot!!
