    • We have a pop-up camping trailer that we used family camping ever since about 1996. On our first trip we found a nice stick for poking the campfire so we kept it. It is still in the trailer. It gets a little shorter every trip as a bit gets burned of. We don't camp as much not that the kids are all out of the house. I am downsizing from a 2000 lb Coleman Santa Fe to a 2 lb Elemental Horizons Kalais. I won't take the poking stick backpacking.
