i assembled on eof those years ago, and it turns out the japanese instructions were translated poorly to english. after an hour of trying to follow the instructions, i finally threw them away and had the thing built in around 20 minutes.fortunately, when i was finished, there were no parts left over.max.patch wrote:
the last gas grill i assembled (30 years ago) was a freakin project. ever since then i buy em pre-assembeled and just tighten everything up and adjust as necessary when i get em home.socks wrote:
Never again will I assemble a barb-b-que grill, Bicycle, or swing set...been there, done all that.
even more fortunately, when i turned it on, it did not explode.

I've come to understand a little better about frustration after driving a mass transit bus for a while, don't understand why more drivers haven't been shot dead, wish I had a dollar for every time the words "idiot" or "dumbass woman" came from my lips...sorry ladies.I may grow old but I'll never grow up.

Had a fun, 20 mile ride for Lupus today in Oak Ridge. The wind was gusty but the hills were easy(ish).
The problem with being a slow, experienced cyclist is I ride in the back with slow, inexperienced cyclists. I can't believe some of the stuff they did...turning left from the far right lane in front of vehicles that had the green light...omg! There are as many asshole cyclists as there are asshole drivers.Lost in the right direction. -
You think that's bad, try riding The 5 Boro Bike Tour in New York City. Thousands and thousands of riders, many who have no idea of how to ride in a group. Even though the roads are closed there are so many crashes that there are EMT on bikes as part of the crowd. Kathy and I have ridden that once, I doubt I'll do it again.

Took my bike out for the first time since moving to Alaska, last weekend. My husband and I did a quick six mile loop around our area on base. The next day a black bear sow and her two cubs took up residence (or likely came out of their nearby den) on the best part of the ride. I should have worded that first sentence better. Took my bike out last weekend for the first time since moving to Alaska. I didn't move here last weekend.“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” - T. S. Eliot

I want this! It might be fun to spray on hiking gear too. The cool thing is it washes off in about a week.

Unfortunately (due to a record low snowfall) today I completed 12 months in succession in which I rode the bicycle at least once weekly for at least 10 miles. The lowest temp was 27* F while the highest was 107*+F. Haven't done this since living in the SE US.
Unfortunately last January had a decent mt bike stolen whilst grocery shopping.
This part of UT has a great bike trail system. With an average snowfall, the system is turned into a fantastic snowshoe/Nordic ski trail.

I used to make my own trail cameras until a few years ago. During that time a friend of mine was complaining about hunting this one spot in the mountains. There was one opening in the laurel and the deer would be right on top of him before he ever knew they were coming and because he was bow hunting they would always bust him before he could get a shot. I made a trail "camera" for him that instead of having a camera it had a two-way radio. When motion was sensed a signal was sent that keyed the mic on the radio. He would carry a second radio and would get a "roger beep" when something was sensed on the trail.
It wouldn't be that hard to use a solenoid to activate an aerosol spray can instead.....the hard part would be getting canned "steak on the grill" or "BBQ pit" scented spray. Torture, lol.If your Doctor is a tree, you're on acid. -
