last trip to egypt - 80's
climbed to *** of pyramid - yikes still sweating (i lied, didn't get anywhere near the top)
went inside pyramid - empty
rode camel - cranky mofo
camel tried to bite me - shouldn't have kicked him
camel owner tried to charge me twice - should have kicked him
visited national museum - saw king tut stuff - girlfriend insisted
visited perfume factory - girlfriend insisted
perfume salesman tried to molest girlfriend - like me he had a thing for plump white girls - no harm no foul
sorry - brought back memories. The post was edited 1 time, last by chief: getting senile ().

Now this was a small pyrimid, but a pyrimid just the same.
We were in Mexico and I found myself in Coba about 30 years ago. I hiked (climbed) to the top of the pyrimid hidden away in the jungle and when I got to the top I turned to look at my wife on the ground below and immediately squatted frozen in partial fear. Those things are at about 45 degrees, I should have realized this when I climbed to the top using my feet and hands. I went down the same way I got up there, on my feet and hands only backwards! -

3 pieces Mexican chocolate
2 tomatillos
2 Roma tomatoes
1 small white onion
3 Pasilla peppers
3 Ancho peppers
3 Mulato peppers
1 chipotle pepper
3 Tbs. raisins
3 Tbs. Almonds
1 Tbs. pumpkin seeds
3 Tbs. peanuts
1 Tbs. sesame seeds
10 whole black pepper corns
5 cloves stemmed
1/4 tsp. Aniss seeds
1/8 tsp. Allspice
2 tsp. Cumin
1/4 tsp. Coriander seeds (why I don't know, cumin is the same thing).
1/4 tsp. Mexican oregano
1 cinnamon stick
4-5 cups chicken stock
2 corn tortillas, it into small pieces
2 pieces of baggett bread, day old is great.
And I'm sure I'm forgetting something
Roast toms, tomatillos and onion, oh yeah just remembered...garlic! a few cloves roasted, don't let burn.
Toast Dried peppers, and stem, and chop, save seeds for toasting with the nuts.
Toast nuts and raisins and pepper seeds
Combine all and simmer about a 1/2 hour, then let sit for 1/2 hour covered, blend in blender or food processor...Yum-b!
I found the allspice and clove to be a bit dominate, and next time I'd likely use one or the other. The post was edited 3 times, last by Socks ().
