I'm thinking the "Data" behind the "?" is out dated. Once you answer it, then click the "OKAY" then the "?". It states "Run by Nevil Harris". I think it's now run by her granddaughter and her husband.

I think Neville is the current granddaughter and Tillie Wood was the original owner. And as no surprise for anyone who stayed there, the former husband is no longer around.

I can relate. Winding down semester, still unpacking boxes in new house, and trying to get old house ready to sell.

Could also depend on the topic - things like a specific state a mountain might be in would be more easily found in a search than who did what when, for instance?
    • I don't remember seeing today's PHOTO. Question yes, usually with a photo of the lake. Not the monument.
Again, no "?" to click on for details. And HINT, Read the plaque and if you happen to know what "TVA" stands for......

As a New Englander I know Mt. Washington's elevation by heart (6288'). So this question came down to a guess for me between b) & c). I guessed it right.
I much prefer what is the highest point (or second highest point, or highest point in this state), then the highest is this many feet.

I am not sure how many AT hikers actually know that Mt. Mitchell is actually the tallest point east of the Mississippi. I think there is a trail that now connects the AT to Mount Mitchell, but I have not heard of any thrus making the side trip.

And it was once proposed that the AT would initially go thru Mt Mitchel. But they decided to switch to the route by Clingmans Dome.
