    • The Appalachian Trail: Backcountry Shelters, Lean-tos, and Huts

I listened to a Backpacker Radio podcast with Sarah Jones Decker (trail name Harvest) about her new book on Appalachian trail shelters. She’s a very interesting person...a photographer who lives on a farm near Hot Springs. She used photos of shelters from friends but also hiked to shelters with her toddler on her back.

The book looks great and is going on my wish list. She asks people to order directly from her website if possible as she gets a larger percentage of the sale and she will sign the book.
