I've heard of 'leaving a log in the privy' but that's ridiculous!

I was wondering more like where that shelter was on the AT?The road to glory cannot be followed with much baggage.

completely off topic - i did get my ice cream at bears den and decided to stay the night. the place was pretty much full so i tented in their side yard. pretty good night. next morning i left early because they told me about a diner that served b'fast 1 1/2 mile from the trailhead. i did get a very much appreciated fat man's breakfast. later that day at blackburn trail center who should be there but my waitress from the diner. i only mention this because those days were some of my most favorite of my hike. -
I had to look up the location since the name didn't ring a bell. It's in the roller coaster section.
That was my pneumonia section hike. Started at Route 522 and finished in Harpers Ferry, leaving a trail of lung butter in my wake. Thought I was going to die climbing up to Bear's Den. No wonder I didn't remember meeting ol' Sam Moore.
Definitely NOT some of my favorite days of hiking.Trudgin' along the AT since 2003. Completed Sections: Springer Mountain to Clingmans Dome and Max Patch NC to Gorham NH
