- Ok this is interesting 4-in-1 Dynamo Flashlight
- I wouldn't want to try it. I guessing you can put a small charge on it for five minutes - but would end up cranking it for two hours to get the phone going.
bright flashlight with 3 LED bulbs, an AM/FM radio, cell phone charger,
and a loud siren. The cell phone charger uses a USB port which can be
used with ANY cell phone as long as you have a USB charger for it. This
avoids the hassle and frustration of having multiple connectors that
may or may not work with your phone.
Most flashlights & radios use batteries which have a limited storage life & usage time
but the dynamo crank charger allows you to charge your device any time
of the day or night. This is the perfect gift for your loved ones to
keep in their glove compartment or in their night stands and it's a
great addition to any emergency kit. You don't have to wait until an
emergency to enjoy the many uses of this item. It is ideal for power
outages, hunting, hiking, biking, camping and traveling.

A small selection of pre- tied hooks, lead weights, two flies, a spinner and a two thin Bobbers.
I own, but never used a 4 piece backpack ugly stick. I will have to break it out sometime.Be wise enough to walk away from the nonsense around you! -

I know very little about fishing but used to live within walking distance of the Rappahannock River so would take the kids fishing sometimes. We never caught anything but I still have my tackle box, I'll look through it this week.Lost in the right direction. -

Oddly enough, while the advice on the page is worthless, the "click here for more info" link directs to Andrew Skurka's site, so whoever made the page must have had some clue.

I guess me making a point is there is a ton of junk out there that you would not haul up a cliff, if you knew better. This took me a long time to realize what we are imparting on our kids is either outdated or flat out wrong. Yes you can make a survival tin or prescription bottle of little things in a pinch. Would you know how to use it? Well that is up to us individually. The first person to rescue you is not 911 or a cell phone, it is you. Something that got me into a little bit of trouble when planing strategy withing a group. I was planning exit strategies if I ran into trouble and I did not at that time.
You cannot do an UL trip if you haven't tried it at home then did it on a go there and back to the car. Just test and test again.
Just it may work for others may not work for you. Below is a picture of don't do this. FYI this is for new folks most of us are enlightened.

CAMPING KITS - are products designed for one purpose, to provide you "max comfort" while in the outdoors. Which usually consist of a cozy tent for a shelter, a nice sleeping bag for warmth, a sharp axe for cutting firewood, pots & pans for cooking, a lantern for night time use, etc. Or if you're one of those weekend "Davy Crockett" hikers or campers, your kit might consist of some booze, snacks, a cd player, slingshot, an MRE meal and a big ol'Rambo knife you probably never used but looks really cool. For some, this is what is called "roughing it." That is until the booze & snacks are gone, your cd batteries go dead, the MRE tastes terrible and so you decide to pack up and go home. Right?
In my opinion this is the most worthless [so call] survival kit on the market. Though it states on the package "..contains 38 essential items. " Most of it is nothing but a bunch of garbage & cheap trinklets. But what's really amazing about this kit is how long it's been selling on the market. Or I should say it's amazing how many idiots have been purchasing this kit and that's the real reason why it's still on the market. But I have to admit, it sure looks pretty in the wrapper, don't it?
And so when it comes to buying a survival kit shop around first. Don't buy the first kit that looks pretty and comes with a lot of stuff or you just might wind up with something worthless like this one
[IMG:http://www.survivaloutdoorskills.com/images/image010.jpg]
Remember, most survival kit manufacturers & sellers are only marketing their kits with one thing in mind - to make $$$$. And some of them could care less if their survival kit saves your @ss or not in a survival situation, like this worthless Coghlan Survival Kit-In-A-Can.Be wise enough to walk away from the nonsense around you! -
