Wow have I been off line for a while - there was a computer crash that took me out for two weeks, this is the replacement Belle, she was a puppy and now a year old. Ashley is now eight! riding a bike, and had her first kayak trip. Hiking is around the corner after the next fishing trip. Girl Scouts - well I think they think its odd that I volunteered to help out and be a part of the group. Most of the younger dads are useless, Ashley has been on a orienteering trip, and other get togethers. I am so damn busy, I come home and go to bed. Missed you guys!

My youngest daughter, who was never in girl scouts, is spending the summer working at a girl scout camp in NM. Oh my.
It’s the same camp I attended as a kid and didn’t do very well. I was the kid that got a stomachache every day because I was homesick.

Yeah, I’m so proud...she’s been promoted several times, from counselor to adventure specialist to program director. She’s now second in command. That girl is gifted with leadership skills and a great personality. She got her Wilderness first aid certificate, archery instructor certificate, and special training for abused and disabled children.Astro wrote:

That day when I looked at the Great Smoky Mountains and said, “I really want to start hiking” changed more lives than just mine.
