WhatABurger, one more reasons many Texans feel they live in the greatest place on earth.
After the guy died his little burger place closed.
No place to sit, you walked up to a corner of the building where he had his window. He sold burgers or cheese burgers, fries, and a soda. The burger was 25 cents, and the cheeseburger was 30 cents. It was half a pound of meat after cooking. Fries were about a half pound and cost 10 cents. The Coka Colas were the pony bottles and cost 5 cents. Years later he added chips and candy to his little corner.
Around 10 years later, Burger Chef and WhatABurger came in the next town over. Tiny burgers that upset lots of folks. WhatABurger had baby burger, teen burger, momma burger, and poppa burger back then. Even the teens went for the poppa burger. Those Burger Chef things... took 3 of them to fill me up, at fifteen cents each.--
