I walked more Cave Creek Trail today.

I'm confused on milage.

My topo map says 3.5 miles from the Upper Cave Creek TRail Connector to the lower Cave Creek Trail Connector.

The sign 0.1 mile from the parking lot Trailhead says, 'Cave Creek 3, Nubbin Creek 4'.

The sketch map supplied by the Cheaha SP store says 'about 3 miles plenty of water'. I saw some seeps, and very tiny brooks, but that was it.

My flex says I walked 5.39 miles. Or 5.3 miles, on the fitbit site.

I walked until I saw a sign that said 'Welcome to the Cheaha Wilderness'. There was a trail leading up, very steep. If I read the topo map, that had to be the lower Cave Creek connector.

Or was I wrong in thinking I had reached the lower connector ? And is it 3 miles, or 3.5 miles ?

I walked from the parking lot, to the sign mentioned above, and back to my car in a bit over 2 hours. About 2 hours and 10-15 minutes.

( This time there was two adults and 3 dogs, but no poop on the trail.)

I guess I need a good gps app for my android phone... hoprfully that would get me in a near distance.

The default maps don't show the Cave Creek Trail and other small trails I've looked at. What maps would show them ?
