My favorite Ted Williams story was told by a catcher. He was new to the league at the time and complained to the ump about a close pitch being a strike and not a ball. He said the Ump leaned forward and said, "Son, if Mr. Williams doesn't believe it was a strike then neither do I" That was in a book I had that was all umpire stories. Another I remember was a runner stealing second in the world series, I believe, and the ump gave the safe sign, but called the runner out. The second baseman and th…

He told me to go behind the dunes and dig a little hole- I was like 4 or 5. Man I had the best time with my dad at the Outer Banks. ” I remember the fi…

Cathole every time. Not because I'm a germ freak, which I'm certainly not, but because I like 2 things available when I go; a view and a breeze on the boys. Wait....3 things. Add strikin' paper to the above list.

I freaking love coyotes, lol. Don't get me wrong, I'll shoot them bastards when I have an opportunity, but I also have a huge admiration for them. They are smart as hell and THE single most adaptive critter out there.

I just want to clarify and say that I've never ordered anything from Lawson Supply, I've never remotely had a issue with RSBTR so I just go there and order what I want. RSBTR uses USPS and 2 days later I have my stuff. Case in point, Monday I ordered some tension cord, cord locks, hyper d for food bags and some silpoly for a water filtering bag idea I have and it was in my mailbox yesterday.

Quote from TrafficJam: “Cut the CF for my daughter's food bag. Gosh, it's such a pretty, iridescent blue. Is there any advantage to leaving the clear plastic on the end and rolling it up so it's hidden in the seam? Or is just excess weight (albeit minimal)? ” Depends, are you a minimalist? If you are and it's indeed minimal then you're obligated to keep it. If you're not a minimalist then I say get rid of it..... Quite the conundrum you've backed yourself into, I don't envy your position.

I couldn't find a picture that was really clear, but I have a line through the channel along the middle of the tarp. I also have loops sewn into each end. When I put it up I tie the line to both trees and slide the tarp to center it. Then I tie off the tarp using the loops to hold it in place and give it tension. You can just use the loops to tie off your tarp, but I like the line through the center as well because this allows me to undo one loop and slide the tarp out of the way if I want to wa…
