    Here I thought you had gone over to the lite side, Cuben is much easier to sew and seal tape than slippy sil-nylon. And then the goo job to seam seal! Too bad it is so hard on the wallet.

    I sewed my line locs on my new tent on the wrong side of the fabric, had to redo 5 of them. Thank God for Cuben tape to cover all the extra holes.

    I have 2 walks around the neighborhood wearing a pack. It has 16 pounds of stuff to start and will build up to my max of 24 over March and April to be ready to hike mid May.

    When trying to sew slippery nylon, I do not use straight pins, I use clothes pins. No need to poke holes that you then have to seal. Painters tape is also useful to hold things until you can get them sewn.

    I have a ride to Erwin, Tenn. on May 22, will have to see how bad(or good) the herd is at that time. Heading north until I get tired of walking. Will see how Da Wolf is doing in Damascus on my way thru.

    I got home from High Point, NJ by train. I got a shuttle down the mountain to Port Jervis, from the High Point Country Inn after an overnight stay to clean up and get everything including my pack washed. Dave got me to the train to New York City, from Penn Station(after a loooong night on a metal chair) I got the Pennsylvanian back to my neck of the woods.
