    My sons team got invited to attend "All Star Day" at Turned Field. The team will arrive well before the game and get to be on the field during batting practice then at some point they parade around the field. He's super excited about it and I'm worried about getting jammed up in a Black Lives Matter protest that are still taking place every night.......

    Had another call today for a woman swimming in a pond (which is a no no) at one of our city parks. Turns out she and her young kids are playing this game and she had to wade out into the pond to capture a creature.

  • I spent yesterday at the Helton Creek Falls and then later at the Toccoa River Suspension Bridge. Both locations were noticeably low on water. The good side is with the low water level on the Toccoa I found some deep pools I wasn't aware of that surely hold some nice Trout.

    I hike with my Lab. She's an 8 year old Black. The other members listed some solid advice and I will add to watch your dog carefully if its hot outside. Many dogs, especially Labs will continue to hike even if miserable and in pain. If not watched carefully you wont realize there is a problem until its too late. Also, think about a emergency exit plan for if the dog gets injured/sick how are you going to get him out of the woods since he's too heavy to carry. A few years ago I was on a day hike …
