I don't think my butt could take a 40 miler unless I stood up the last 20. ” Same here, my legs don't get tired, but my butt wears out after about 30 miles, biked with a friend two week ends ago, he said he'd bring a seat...or a saddle as he corrected me...for me to try next ride, I told him I paid $300 for the bike, the saddle he's bringing cost $360...he has a $500 one, I asked what kind of padding expecting something exotic, he said it had none, just carb…

I was in a Starbucks Coffee recently when my stomach started rumbling and I realized that I desperately needed to fart. The place was packed, but the music was really loud so to get relief and reduce embarrassment I timed my farts to the beat of the music. After a couple of songs I started to feel much better. I finished my coffee and noticed that everyone was staring at me. I suddenly remembered that I was listening to my Ipod (with ear piece) - and how was your day?

I hung my tarp up in the back yard just to be certain it was dry from using it this week end, looked dry but I thought I'd give it an hour or so to be certain, five minutes later it started to rain, crawled into the basement hammock to nap while it rained, got up an hour later, looked out the back door and the creek was up and muddy...over 2" of rain in under an hour, got in the Jeep and headed for Walmart to get kitty litter for the new kitten my wife texted that she was bringing home and the s…

Three of us did a challenging mt bike ride this past week end, a bit more than expected, 9.2 miles was extremely rocky, 10 & 11* grades. We got to a paved road and decided we'd rather ride a few extra miles to get back rather than fight the rocks another 9.2 miles of rocks, even the road section was tough with long steep hills, total distance was 23 miles....one of those rides you're glad you did it but glad it's over. Bought a road bike and we're discussing doing some bikepacking when the weath…
