The bleachers look functional but uncomfortable. Just like the last pair of snowshoes I used.

Having ridden several century rides on the MTB, I find much more energy is expended due to the heavy knobby wider tires compared to the dedicated road bike. However the MTB is a great climber due to the deeper gears, but on downhills and level ground good riders on road bikes usually pull away as I'm in top gear and they are able to continue up shifting.

Quote from Bo Peep: “The cinnamon scones were good but needed raisins and icing so I made a cinnamon glaze, yum. The lemon blueberry scones are awesome and need nothing. I used lemon wafers and they aren’t very attractive so will chop them up next time. But, oh my, they are great! ” Any leftovers? If so, Jake and I are on the way.

  • Quote from Bo Peep: “Quote from jimmyjam: “Quote from Bo Peep: “I went to a local range since ladies shoot for free on Monday, minus the rental-gun fee and ammo.. I was very nervous and jumpy, probably not a good thing when shooting a gun. The first one was a Glock 42 (a 380) and it was all wrong for me. The recoil made it difficult to hit the target at 15 feet. All my shots were in the throat or above the head. It jammed on the third round which slightly freaked me out. I had to go find help. T…

  • What’s more amazing (at least for some folks) is he’s on the trail why wearing cotton and leather boots. Thanks to all the maintainers.

  • Quote from SandyofPA: “If I were to carry on the AT it would be my wrist rocket sling shot. Much lighter than a gun, ammo is every where and quiet to use. ” still use one.

That won’t ride in a pocket.Does anyone have experience with the Safepacker? ” I googled the safepacker and it looks like it's just a carrying case? I use an ankle holster or a sticky holster which I put in my front pocket or small of my back. A sticky holster has a sticky exterior and stays put with no at…

Still awaiting winter’s arrival. Might receive a trace of snow over the weekend about 1K’ higher. Sympathetic towards the folks visiting Sundance expecting to ski.

  • Quote from LIhikers: “I have a plan in case we ever get the 20 minute warning that missiles are inbound to the east coast. 1. Walk across the street and get a 24 pack of beer from the deli 2. Carry the beer, my beach chair, and a sun reflector into my back yard and set up the chair facing New York City 3. Sit myself down, start drinking fast and furious, and then hold the sun reflector under my head and face so I'll get a good tan. I don't think I'd want to survive that kind of attack ” As depic…

One of my uncles while serving in France and Germany in the closing months of WWII and the occupation would speak of the girls using this technique. Usually such stories would be prompted by a couple of beers while sittting around the fire at a fishing or hunting camp.

  • I know of a couple upon hearing the warning returned to bed and intended to enjoy their last moments engaged in emotional and physical intimacy. Wonder it there will be an uptick in births in nine months?

  • Yes, insufficient penetration.

  • Most likely this was the incident, as the time frame is correct. However for some reason I incorrectly recalled the the affected country as India. I also recall relabeling bags of corn as originating from the USSR.

I’m still awaiting a real winter.

  • While I agree with much of your reply, my post was prompted by a mass poisoning occurring within India several decades ago. While an undergraduate, I enrolled in a botany class. To fulfill an assignment, I wrote a paper detailing how the USA shipped to India as well as to other countries, tons of wheat for the purpose of planting. Unscrupulous distributors intercepted the bags of grain and sold the wheat at markets for flour. Many folks were amused by the pink tint the flour had. Unbeknownst to …
