  • Leaking inflatable sleeping pad.

    LIhikers - - Gear

    Post

Friday we set up a tent in our yard and slept out the last 2 nights. I used the pad that I had patched some months back. When I woke up in the mornings the pad lost only a little air, enough remained that I was able to lay comfortably all night. I did have to add more air at the start of the second night, but I'm not planning any more repairs at this time.

I shouldn't have waited so long...it was a good read and I learned a lot about her hike(s) that I didn't know before. While my hike was different from todays hikes, her hike was waaay different than mine. Really an unbelievable story. ” What year did you hike the trail?

I got the official OK for my time off from work for this summer's hiking. Whoo Hoo, bring on the mountain. We already have reservations in Baxter State Park for August. I don't remember the dates off hand. We're also going to hike NY+NJ, Delaware river to Hudson river. While we've covered that stretch already it was as a bunch of day or one night trips. And while we're in New England I still need to get Wildcat D.

Quote from odd man out: “warm sunny but very windy on the outer banks. It's odd to drive someplace where there is water in every direction. ” That's normal for me. Every trip off the Island starts with a bridge, tunnel, or ferry boat. I'd like to move to the continental USA someday.

I guess it really doesn't matter as both are quite an achievement. Congrats to the graduate.
