    I'm waiting on JCP sale to pick up a couple. First thing I need to make is an under quilt. I'll have to go to WM and see what their offerings are. Tons of stuff to make out of the cheap jackets.

    You can buy a cheap down jacket from JC Penny in another month or two. They usually sell for $20, end of season sale. .. My wife did that last year. After a few uses she knew she wanted a higher quality one and waited for the Pantagonia sale. She ordered her new one last week. .. She likes Pantagonias colors otherwise I would have been able to talk her into getting one like mine, Montbell.

    Frozen shrimp. .. Sometimes fresh, sometimes just a package of frozen from the grocery store. One small grill top from home.

    Those ramps sure are strong. No Thank You for Me. Every year up the road they have a Ramp Festival in Flag Pond. ... A week after eating one it will still be seeping out your pores. Back to Ramen .. Boil noodles, and thin sliced carrots, peanuts, chicken shrimp or beef and some Szechwan sauce.

    1 Carrot 1 Package Ramen - packet removed 1 Cup grated cheddar cheese 3 Tablespoons butter Cracked pepper cook the noodles and drain well toss noodles, grated carrot, and cheese together melt butter in pan make into small pancakes and brown on each side. Top with pepper.

    Shame I can't use ramen. Or I'd tell ya about making pancakes with ramen and shaved carrots. Or maybe the chili recipe made with ramen.

    I've done Alot of net research. I know the closest hotel is 60 miles from the trailhead. 8 miles down the trail Is Supai Village. The closest is in Peach Springs.. Then there's the cavern hotel. Wouldn't it be cool to spend the night down there. But that one and Peach Springs is about all I can come up with. Kinda hoping someone knew of some others. Even if they are towards Flagstaff of Bull Head. ... If I could just get my brother to drive up from Tucson and give me a report. .. I even read som…

    We're are getting ready to get our permits and reservations for our Havasu Falls hike. And we are hoping someone has some ideas of where to stay before we start our hike? Also if anyone has hiked Mooney Falls to Beaver Falls, how long did it take? what about Mooney Falls to the Colorado River and back?

    Gonna be cold .. Tn/Nc state in the mountains will be below 0 tonight. Some snow on Sat. I was planning on going down to the FHT. I ordered a new pack and it hasn't shown up yet. So my hike is off till my pack comes in.

    Yes, different clothing would have been nice but it wouldn't have changed the amount of times you fell or having to back track. ... The best thing to do is just be prepared for all conditions. But that doesn't mean carrying all kinds of weight. Sometimes it means stopping, pitching shelter, and getting wet clothes off and get warm. Tomorrow is a new day.
